Doug Anderson (born May 15, 1982) co-hosted the Discovery Channel television show Fight Quest with Jimmy Smith, As of 2008[update]]
Anderson was born in New Jersey. He enlisted in the US Army in 2002 and served a full year in Iraq. He saw intense activity and was rewarded with numerous decorations. During his military service, Anderson was part of the Rapid Deployment Forces and from 2004 until 2005 his unit was on the front line.

The time spent in the military awakened his interest in martial arts. After becoming familiar with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques, he went on to be a bodyguard for a high ranking officer who served in Iraq.
Anderson left the army in 2005 and continued training in martial arts. He has attained a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is passionately studying Muay Thai and traditional boxing.
When he's not traveling around the world for the Fight Quest TV show, Anderson works as a volunteer for different civic organizations and spends his time with his nieces. He also enjoys drawing, painting and tattooing.
